Assemblage was something that I garnered from my years in the Northwest; in re-use fashion, characters come forth from rubbish and discards. Aged materials give birth to figures such as St Michelle with 14 hands -releaser of the butterflies- . The figures are protectors of the planet and of fragile emotional states.

The figurative series explores the given name, the one given to us at birth, and how it shapes our psyche, our self-image, and, in this case, the actual figure.

From discarded wine corks comes the springboard for the series... Also featured is a sample of holiday ornaments using the methodology.
